MANNKINE SURFBOARDS LIMITED WARRANTY & LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
Last Updated: October 26, 2026
At Mannkine Surfboards, we take pride in crafting the highest quality custom surfboards, utilizing premium materials including traditional polyurethane, EPS with wood stringers, and Dark Arts full carbon vacuum bag constructions. Because surfboards are subjected to extreme environmental forces and unpredictable ocean conditions, our products are subject to the following limited warranty terms.
1. Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty
Mannkine Surfboards warrants all custom and stock surfboards to be free from major structural defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery and prior to ocean use.
- Inspection Period: Customers must thoroughly inspect their surfboard immediately upon delivery or pickup. Any suspected manufacturing defects must be reported to Mannkine Surfboards within seven (7) days of receipt, accompanied by proof of purchase and detailed photographic evidence.
- Sole Remedy: If a structural defect in materials or workmanship is verified by Mannkine Surfboards before the board has been waxed, gripped, or ridden, Mannkine Surfboards will, at its sole discretion, either repair the board, replace the board, or issue a store credit.
2. Strict Exclusions (What is NOT Covered)
Due to the fragile nature of high-performance surfboards and the inherent risks of the sport, there is no warranty against structural failure or breakage once the surfboard enters the water. This limited warranty strictly excludes:
- Snaps, Creases, and Buckles: Boards that break, crease, or buckle due to impact from waves, ocean floors, reefs, or collisions.
- Impact Damage: Dings, fractures, punctures, shattered glass, or crushed foam resulting from rocks, reefs, leashes, fins, or transport.
- Delamination due to Heat Exposure: Blistering, bubbling, or delamination caused by exposing the board to excessive heat, direct sunlight (such as inside a hot vehicle), or improper storage.
- Standard Wear and Tear: Heel dents, pressure dings on the deck or bottom, or minor aesthetic yellowing of the foam or resin over time due to UV exposure.
- Fin Box Failures: Stripped fin screw threads or damaged fin boxes resulting from bottom impacts, reef strikes, or over-tightening.
- Aftermarket Modifications: Any alterations, repairs, or additions made to the board after it leaves our facility.
3. Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mannkine Surfboards provides its products "as is" and disclaims all other warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes, but is not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
4. Limitation of Liability
Surfing is an inherently dangerous sport. By purchasing and using a Mannkine Surfboard, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with the activity. Under no circumstances shall Mannkine Surfboards, its shapers, employees, or laminating vendors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages—including personal injury or property damage—resulting from the use, transport, or failure of our products.5. How to File a ClaimIf you believe your surfboard has a manufacturing defect prior to use, please contact us at lancemannkine@gmail.com with your original invoice or order number, a brief explanation, and clear photos of the issue.
